Whistleblowing

Whistleblowing is an institution introduced by law 6 November 2012, n. 190, “Provisions for the prevention and repression of corruption and illegality in the Public Administration”. Whistleblowing reports are those made by a worker who, in carrying out his duties, notices situations, facts and circumstances which may reasonably lead to the belief that an irregularity or an illegal act has occurred. The content of the report must always respond to safeguarding the interest in the integrity of the public administration and, for this very reason, the law gives the whistleblower a series of protections.
